Mankind (Arabic: الناس‎, romanized: an-nās) is the 114th and last chapter (sūrah) of the Qur'an. It is a short six-verse invocation. ۝ Say, " I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, The chapter takes its name from the word "men", "people" or "mankind" (al-nās), which recurs throughout the chapter. An-Nas (Arabic: الناس) has been used in Surah 114 referring to the mankind. The word “mankind” appears 291 times in 273 verses in different forms however the words an-nas only appear in surah 114.
